Systems Engineering

My work addresses the traditional approaches systems engineering is built on while paving the way to modernize how tomorrow’s systems are imagined and created.

My basis in measurement theory, bolstered by a concentration in technical communication, enable mixed-methods, evidence-based research that address today’s large-scale, complex engineered systems.

I have six years of research experience applying systems engineering approaches to complex systems. I have received $331,000 in funding. My research has received the 2024 Wiley Systems Engineering Widely Read Article and Top Cited Article Awards and the 2024 SERC Barry Boehm Award.

At Auburn University I am an Assistant Professor in the Industrial and Systems Engineering Department in the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering.
